WE AS A SOCIETY, HAVE A DIRE NEED.
A better future begins with what we can do for our children. What is needed most are safe spaces, security from bad actors / influences, mentoring, guidance, and assistance navigating through a fast changing world. Assistance for their family and filling time constructively with programs designed to help them survive and prosper, from people who truly care. There will be a lot of focus for assisting single dads as well. The village once again, will be working together to raise the children. As it should be. What we do today will keep them from harmful paths tomorrow.
COMMUNITY PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES
A one stop shop approach to community and youth programs, that will revitalize the spirit of family. Elder and other challenged persons outreach will improve the environment through free cleanup and lawn services as well as a meal program for those in need. Food drives and giveaways, assistance for the unhoused, as well as a veteran's program, after school and summer lunch programs may fill the gaps many may have in their lives. A community cookout, and food fairs will bring people back into being involved and connecting with those that live around them. With more common ground than not, the neighborhood family will have more reason to care and watch over each other. Open communication will also lower crime through a watch network.
WRAP AROUND PROGRAM SERVICES
Each program will feed another as well as generate revenue and employment. There will be child care, which will be supervised and run by my mother. (45+ yrs retired speech therapy/pathology) Other retired teachers as well as childcare/development focused college students will volunteer as well as interning and community service will reduce staffing issues. Barter program for services through volunteer work, armed security on site and training camp will secure the safety of The Center, youth diversion program available by parental request before youth get too unruly to be controlled., after hours daycare, and eventually a family group home.
